Rise and Shout....the Cougars Are Out!

Today is the first game for the BYU Cougars! They are playing in Provo against Northern Iowa. Jeff is really excited because he bought season tickets so he'll be driving down to the games! I didn't think that buying tickets would be the best investment for me this year, considering I'd have to leave every 20 minutes to go to the bathroom and would definitely miss some games after the baby is born! I love Cougar Football, it's legacy, and what the team (including Bronco Mendenhall) stand for. The games and the excitement they bring is one of the things I will miss about being a student and living in Provo. It was always so much fun going to the games year after year with my friends, roommates, and then my husband. I even taught my 2nd graders last year the fight song. Hmmm, maybe my first graders could learn it too!

First Day of School!

Monday was the first day of school! I share a first grade class with another teacher, Mrs. Kroeger. I teach on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. I came on Monday for the first day. We have 21 students and they are so little! Going from second grade to first, it's amazing the progress kids make in just a year (physically, socially, and intellectually). The days this week have been really long as I'm trying to get used to a new age group, class, and school but I'm excited and just keep thinking, I have tomorrow off!

On the first day I was surprised when the school secretary found me in the hall holding a vase of flowers and said they were for me. My sweet husband had flowers delivered for me to wish me luck on the first day. It just made me so happy. Plus he got me flowers for our anniversary last week, so I've just been getting spoiled! Is that so bad?

Time to Count DOWN!

Today I am officially 30 weeks pregnant. Therefore tomorrow I am considered "in week 31" (kind of confusing I know). I think at this point I am going to start counting DOWN and not UP anymore. So, I have 10 weeks left!!!!!

I'm due for another belly picture soon. I'll try and do that this weekend (since we'll FINALLY have internet) as well as post pictures of our new apartment, and my new classroom.

2 years, baby!

I have to take a minute to blog today because it is our 2 year anniversary. That's right, at noon on August 18th, 2006, we were married. It was such a happy day and seemed to go so fast. I can't believe it's already been 2 years and in that time we've put each other through school and have a baby coming! I love you Jeff and am grateful for all you do for me and for our future. I'm excited for the many, many more years to come!

28 weeks

I'm now in the third trimester! I'm measuring right on track and everything seems to be going fine. The only complaints I'm having are back pain (if I overdo it) and I'm hot pretty much all the time. I get to have a shot of Rhogam in 2 weeks because I'm Rh negative. Oh goodie!

Other than that, we're moved in to our new apartment. Once we're more settled we will post pictures!
