In the middle of June, my sister in law Stacia and I decided to take a trip to St. George with our kids to visit my parents for a few days. The trip started out a little rocky when I was to loading my car (which was parked down the street due to the resurfacing the road in front of my house) with our stuff and carrying Becca with Alayna walking next to me, and Alayna ended up slipping and falling INTO the tar. Thankfully it wasn't hot, but it took me 30 minutes to scrub the tar off of Alayna's body, hair, and to start getting some of it out of her clothes. I ended up throwing the clothes into a bag and took them to St. George where my parents helped me scrub them out (rubbing alcohol works wonders!) Anyway, once we hit the road, it was smooth sailing. We went to the downtown St. George splash pad (above is Alayna's Ariel pose that Stacia can get her to do)
We played at my parent's neighborhood pool
We took pictures (not gonna lie, it's pretty awesome to have a photographer in the family!)
We made a quick trip to Vegas to meet up with my cousin Shawna for lunch (she lives in Florida but was visiting the area)
We swam some more
We saw Aladdin at the Tuacahn. It was fantastic. We had SO much fun and it was even very engaging for Alayna! She still talks about the show!
We chilled
We watched Emily dance....she is so hilarious and adorable. I just love everything she does!
We made (and ate) snowcones....so yummy after spending time at the pool!
Alayna loves tea parties at Nana's house, especially because Nana has a "real" tea set!
