March Madness: Becca's 1/2 Birthday

Becca turned 6 months old on March 26th. To celebrate, we invited Aunt Pammie over and had FHE and dinner.

Notice that everything is cut in "half"...the corn, twice baked potatoes, burgers, and buns. It was a fun celebration!

She is such a sweet baby. At her 6 month mark she was able to get up on all 4's and rock and scoot around, but not a full coordinated crawl yet. She was very close to being able to sit up on her own, and she can hold her own bottle while laying down. Her favorite foods are mostly vegetables (fruit has been a little too tart for her, so I have to mix it with oatmeal or rice cereal for her to even eat it...she does not like fruit juice at all). She likes squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, and even green beans. She also likes those puffs a lot. She responds really well when you call her name, or looks at the person who is talking, even if they're across the room. She has the loudest scream I have ever heard in a baby. She screams when she's mad, happy, or just bored. It is ear piercing. We REALLY hope that doesn't last long!

In the past, I have written about how great of a sleeper she had been. That all ended in early February and has gotten progressively worse. She started waking up several times at night, disturbing Alayna, and so we had to move her back into our room at night. Better to deal with 1 child in the middle of the night than 2! We have been doing a few things to try to get her to sleep better (feed her more milk and solids at night and try to get her to go back to sleep without eating so her body breaks out of wanting food in the night).

She is smiley and so adorable. We love her so much, and are so glad she was sent to us! Happy half birthday, sweet Becca Lynn!
